Its Value score is 4.7/5: strongest on free plan, adoption and plan terms, weakest on drawback risk. The score measures cost and accessibility, not how much the product can do.
| Value score component | Score (0 to 1) |

| Adoption | 1.00 |

05What You Get
Trello is the kanban board most people have already used: lists of cards that move left to right as work progresses. Cards hold checklists, due dates, attachments and comments, and Power-Ups and the built-in Butler automation add what the basic board lacks. It takes minutes to learn, and that is the whole point.
Where it falls short: Boards do not scale gracefully. Reporting, dependencies and cross-project views are limited, and complex projects end up needing a different tool.
Pros
- Simple to learn and deploy
- Strong free plan for individuals and small teams
- Excellent for visual task tracking
Cons
- Reporting is limited compared with full PM suites
- Complex projects can outgrow the board model
- Advanced admin controls are reserved for higher tiers
